About

Track Attack Running is a California-based run coaching company dedicated to helping runners and multi-sport athletes improve their running times and boost their enjoyment in the sport. We provide group-based interval workouts on the track and one-on-one running form analysis using biofeedback.

At the heart of Track Attack Running is the philosophy that it is every bit as important to routinely spend time focusing on form, efficiency, strength, pacing, muscular endurance, speed, flexibility and even a little agility and quickness as it is to get in your long or steady-paced runs. Many of our runners look forward to their weekly track workout as their favorite physical activity of the week, and that vorfreude, even more than helping them achieve personal bests, is what inspires us to coach.

History

Track Attack Running founders Tony Pelosi and Chi-An Emhoff

Track Attack Running originated at American River College in Sacramento in 2004. It was founded by Tony Pelosi and Chi-An (Wang) Emhoff as part of Total Body Fitness before launching their own business in 2007. As collegiate track captains who went on to become competitive amateur triathletes, they adapted lessons from masters swimming to turn monotonous track workouts into fun and engaging group experiences that could be enjoyed by athletes of all levels.

Coming Soon…

We are distilling years of group running interval workout design into a practical playbook for coaches who want to help their athletes, groups who want to help their members, and individuals who want to help themselves get faster from 5ks to marathons. The most important aspect of speed and skill work is actually doing it, and this playbook will help make this critical component of running a weekly habit.
